Description
Many of the world’s largest mines for top quality sapphires were depleted in the past few years. Most people do not realize this but the obvious result is a dramatic explosion in price and difficulty in finding the best material.
Fortunately my sapphires are still old stock including this spectacular Ceylon sapphire that would now fetch over $3000 a carat. Simply put this is the finest. Color that is at the right hue, with rich ideal saturation level (no color zoning), optimal luster, precision cutting and superb bright blue brilliance.
This 2.06 carat sapphire measures 7.7 X 5.9 mm and is prong set between round brilliant diamonds. The larger diamonds on each side of the sapphire are 4.0 mm each, 0.60 carats total weight and SI2 GH quality. There is an additional 0.18 carats total weight in round brilliant diamonds that line the ring’s shoulders. These diamonds are SI1 GH quality.
IN total the ring has 0.80 carats of fine quality diamonds. This beautifully and traditionally designed ring weighs 6.4 grams of 18K white gold and is a size 6 1/4. (Please let us know your size preference when completing your order.)
