Description
When only the finest will do ….take a close look at this rare asscher cut sapphire that was created by the talented, world renowned and internationally awarded stone cut by Jeff White. Asscher is my favorite cut so I became familiar with those who could really cut an astounding asscher. It requires tremendous skill as the pavilion facets must be placed closely together in a tight area with corners and few can do it let alone win awards such as the fine Jeff White.
This spectacular Ceylon asscher cut sapphire is certified by the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as natural, 2.67 carats and has measurements of 6.7 X 6,72 X 5.93 nn. The cut is precise, each facet is placed to return the maximum light and brilliance and they work as a team sending forth blinding blue brilliance. Of Ceylon origin the sapphire’s primary color is a pure blue with secondary faint purple hue. The color is rich in saturation with slight color shift under varying lighting conditions (cornflower blue to lighter purple-blue).
Top clarity and extraordinary brilliance round out the fine characteristics of this world class sapphire. The sapphire is four prong set in an 18K white gold mounting from the classic designer A.
